Long long ago, deep in the Indian jungle… In the sticky
heat under the summer sun… A herd of elephants,
monkeys, giraffe, tortoise, parrot and rabbits roamed
the jungle in search of food…
Drama is just the art of pretending, telling stories, and acting out emotions on stage and that is exactly what happens at our Summer Camp! A week long rollercoaster of fun, creativity, performance skills building and choreographed drama, where your child takes centre stage and unleashes the performer within!
Come and step into the world of theatre with our week long Summer Holidays Bootcamp – perfect for young children looking to explore the magic of theatre! Children are led over the course of a week by experienced industry professionals where they will create an entire play, from start to finish!
Indian Summer is a play that explores the concept of Kindness and its impact through drama games and activities. They have the opportunity to devise a play where they will build sets, make costumes, create music as well a learn lines and map out scenes from start to finish.
Each participant will have a speaking part and will actively be involved using inventive theatre techniques. They will sing songs, learn lines and present a small sharing at the end of the week for family and friends.

THE IMPORTANT STUFF
Eligibility: For children aged 6-9 years. No previous experience necessary but a desire to actively participate
Date: Monday 3rd August – Friday 7th August 2026
Location: Drama Studio, Shireland CBSO Academy, 1 Providence Place, West Bromwich, B70 8SZ
Timings: The workshops are 3 hours in duration with a snack break in between. There will be 2 groups:
GROUP A – 10am – 1pm
GROUP B – 1pm – 4pm
Each group will have no more than 20 children per group. Please ensure you book the most suitable timing when booking on Ticketsource as children will remain in the same group for the entire week. Please note all our facilitators are DBS checked and have completed safeguarding training.
What to bring: Drama is hungry and thirsty work! Please bring:
Water bottle
Snacks – VEGETARIAN & NO NUTS or products containing traces of nuts
Cost: The cost is £65 plus a booking fee for the week. Bookings are non refundable.
Family Sharing: Family and friends are invited to join us at the end of the week on Friday 7th August 2026 for a fun informal sharing of the work created. The timing for each group are:
Group A – 12.30pm
Group B – 3.30pm
